Well, sugar, around here we like to say that Heritage Christian Academy isn’t just a homeschool, it’s home. It’s where faith and learning meet right at the kitchen table, where little hands trace letters beside a Bible open to Proverbs, and where curiosity is fed right along with homemade biscuits covered in chocolate gravy.
We don’t rush our days. We read aloud, we pray before math, and we take time to chase butterflies when the sun peeks through the curtains. Every lesson is another chance to remind our children that wisdom begins with Him and that a good education shapes both the heart and the mind.
We’re mighty proud of our country, too, and we teach our kids why it’s worth loving. About the brave men and women who fought for the freedoms we enjoy and the responsibility that comes with being good, God-fearing citizens.
Homeschooling isn’t always tidy, but it’s good. The kind of good that lingers like the smell of bread baking. It’s faith in action, family in motion, and grace at work every single day. And truth be told, I wouldn’t trade this little schoolhouse for the world.
